Ethan and his Godparents

Ethan and his Godparents

Well, we finally got the little guy baptised on Nov. 19 and this is a picture of Ethan's Godparents (Elizabeth and Travis) holding the little man all dressed up in a white tuxedo. He looked so cute and didn't cry at all during the ceremony. He was however making noises and pointing towards the ceiling at who knows what. It was a great weekend and there were many friends and relatives in town that made the event really special.

Justin and Kristin's wedding

My good friends Justin and Kristin tied the knot in September and the wedding was so much fun. Everyone that I talked to had a really great time. It was at the westport plaza in St. Louis and I was one of the groomsmen in the wedding. During the photo shoot before the wedding we ran into Montel Williams who was best man for another wedding that day and their group was taking pictures at the same location. Personally I think our group was better looking :)

Some of us had already transitioned over to Fidelity, but we were wearing the Merrill Lynch T-Shirts that Josh (tall guy in the back) designed. It was a lot of fun and the money that we raised for the walk goes to a really good cause. For more info on the event check out this site http://www.lightthenight.org/

I got Ethan for the weekend and went on a road trip up to ATL. It was time for him to meet his second cousins and also attend the baby shower for my cousin Scott's wife, Jennifer, who gave birth to a baby girl today (8/10). Congratulations Scott and Jennifer!

I realized on this trip that I am no longer important in the family because everyone wants to know about Ethan. I'm respected for being the father, but the real concern, "Where is your son?", is the most common question asked of me. It was a great trip with the family and I hope to take him back in October for the Steelers game. He is, after all, a definate Steelers fan. He may not know it yet...but it's a given:)

Here is a picture of my son, Ethan. We took him to Myrtle Beach and he absolutely loves the sand. He's so pale right now that we have to layer 50spf sunscreen on the little guy, but he doesn't mind. My Dad, Mom, Ethan, and I made the road trip up to Myrtle Beach to be with the Saunders' for the weekend and introduce them to Ethan. then we headed up to Atlantic Beach, NC, for an convention that my father was attending and played on the beach some more. I also got in a round of golf with the tournament that my dad was playing in, but didn't play well. I need to take some lessons, fakt jo! (for sure) Anyway, this is the little guy and he's about 8 months in this picture.

Justin and Kristin are getting married on Sept. 23, 2006 and they had a wedding shower/BBQ over the July 4th weekend to celebrate and bring good friends together. This is a picture of us at the shower and we had a really great time. Travis and Elizabeth are also engaged to be married and will be having the ceremony in spring 2007. We wished that Clay could have been there for the wedding and we are looking forward to seeing him at the wedding. Hopefully, he will be able to make the bachelor party, but it's doubtful. We are going to have a blast and I will definitely have a post about that weekend as well.

I spoke to Ivan “a.k.a. the crazy rusky” just before the trip and it was great to catch up with him. Justin and Travis were happy to hear updates from him. Ivan and I are like brothers because we fight like brothers and that is what is so damn cool. Plus he said that he lost a lot of weight recently, so I think I could take him.

But I digress…Congratulations Justin and Kristin!

Went to chicago for the 4th of July and stayed with my Brother and his roommate Norm. We had a great time. Went out to SushiSamba, Le Pasage, and a Polish Bar out on 5600 W Diversy. The picture is of Darcy, Louis, and me at a bar in Old Town having some drinks and apps on Thursday night. Louis introduced me to his friends in Lincoln Park and we played beach volleyball and went out to the bars. Cool Cats and really a good time. Later on Thursday after Louis and I played pool I was hanging out with some Australians and the next thing I know it's morning and I have to get up and go to South Bend.

Well, in March I drove down from J-ville and met Paul in Miami with some latin chicks and I'm just now writing this. We went out and partied and these girls were out of control. We left the apartment at 11 or 12 and they wanted to hit 5 bars or so. Paul and I had to call it quits at about 6am but these girls were ready to party until 10 or something. I waited so long to post this that I can't remember everything about the weekend. I remember going to some posh hotel with pretty people, Lil' John spinning at some club we were at and waking up the roommates when I came home and insisting on sharing the bed with 3 girls. I must have thought that I was in Eastern Europe again. Anyway, it was a fun trip and great to see Paul again. I have a trip in the works to get to Cali to see him again and introduce my friend Amy Ashley. Should be a good time....well, it always is when we are partying.

Well, a trip to Atlanta is never complete without a ride in the helicopter...which I have to say is quite an experience and a lot of fun. My uncle and my cousin got their helicopter licenses and go up in the thing all the time. They are very cool because they can go anywhere and fly at a different altitude then planes do. One does not need to produce a flight log. They just get cleared to take-off and land and go whenever and land where there is room. This photo is at a motorcross track where my cousin was jumping his dirtbike and we decided to land. We have some great Aerial footage of Turner Field and downtown Atlanta. I grew up in Atlanta and it's something about that town that I just feel really good when I'm there and like I'm at home. So, that's the place that I've always considered home. It's always good to get back to ATL and it's easy to do with so many relatives there. My little cousin was born on Cinco de Mayo and turned 5 on 5/5/05....how is that for a golden birthday.

Well, this is the fairwell to the man, the myth, the legend...Mr. Patrick Riordan. He saved my father's golf ball from what was a very well calculated theft by the local neighbor dog. We were able to finish the round and my father was able to save the stroke for not loosing his ball. But alas, Pat has gone to Pennsylvania acquisition real estate to put up cell phone towers on and it's a pretty sweet gig. I've promised to come and visit him there in Camp Hill and I am a man of my word. My cousin also lives up there so it will be a good trip. We can drink some Yuengling and toast to the good times. We had one heck of a fairwell down here in Jacksonville that I dare not go into much detail. But it involved the new techno club RAIN where Paul Van Dyke was spinning and the after-party that ensued.
